Markley & Balmer “Standards & Covers” tour

“The Markley & Balmer CD is sublime– & as you know, I don’t have much patience for either covers OR standards.”  (Mathew Finch, KUMN)

“The Tuck and Patti of the songwriter world”  (Tom Prasada-Rao)

Bruce and I are thrilled to hit the road this summer with our new cd, “Standards & Covers”.  It’s American Songbook re-purposed — broken down to bare bones, simply voice and guitar.

Track list includes: Lennie’s Pennies (lyrics by yours truly, so the title on the album is “Hundred In A Dollar”), Softly as in a Morning Sunrise, You Don’t Know What Love Is, House of the Rising Sun, and featured in this video, the Theme from Black Orpheus (filmed at our farewell show at The Kessler Theater in Dallas last summer).  The Lyrics are Bruce’s, so the official title on our version is, “One More Day”

We will be driving between Texas and New York in June–Stay tuned as the dates are confirmed and added to the calendar.  First stop–Pittsburgh!
